• Tenney Park Locks – Madison, WI c. 1959

Our innovative 1959 design using the Tainter gate system continues to enable boat traffic to move efficiently and safely between Lake Mendota and Lake Monona. Since 1959, the original design has only had minor updates to modernize facilities supporting the locks.
  • Logan Todd Regional Water System – Guthrie, KY c. 2003

We completed design and start-up of a four-county, 10 MGD water treatment plant (WTP) that serves 13 communities. This was the first intergovernmental regional water treatment facility in Kentucky to transport water across county lines, and the first WTP in the state to employ a membrane treatment system.
  • UW Health Med Flight Base – Portage, WI c. 2019

Along with civil and utility design for this new med flight facility, we designed a fueling system adjacent to the helipad to maximize the site’s fuel storage capacity and self-sufficiency.
  • Art Climb – Cincinnati, OH c. 2020

The Cincinnati Art Museum’s Art Climb features 166 asymmetric steps and landings on a steep hillside designed to fit into the surrounding topography. Our design included micropile foundations for geotechnical stability and drainage swales for stormwater management.
  • US 18/151 (Verona Road) and US 12/14 (Madison Beltline) – Madison, WI c. 2020

We led the design of the $200 million Verona Road and Madison Beltline project that links key economic centers in Iowa to Northeastern Wisconsin and the National Highway System, and is a key commuter corridor for the greater Madison area.
  • Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) Upgrades – Morgantown, WV c. 2020

Morgantown Utility Board (MUB) has been a client for over 25 years. For this project, we replaced worn out rotating biological contactors at MUB’s main WWTP with activated sludge membrane biological reactors. To accommodate growth to 28 MGD and potential permit limits, under tight site constraints, we also designed an innovative, 100-foot tall concrete anaerobic digester.
