The City of Janesville West Town Square project was selected to receive an Engineering Project Achievement Award from the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Wisconsin section. The award will be presented on October 4, 2019, at the Wisconsin Section ASCE Annual Meeting in Madison, Wisconsin. This project consisted of four stages that included removal of a parking plaza structure that spanned the Rock River, river access and a floating dock, a festival street, and more. It is an integral first step for the City’s plans to ultimately revitalize its downtown. This is the second award this project has received, the other being a Project of the Year Award by American Public Works Association (APWA) of Wisconsin.
