The Lick Run Valley Conveyance System and Greenway project continues to shine as an exemplary example of successful sustainable solutions. Most recently, it was selected as one of only 7 projects representing the USA among 28 finalists in the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC) 2022 Project Awards competition. The finalists are from 11 countries, including Australia, Brazil, China, France, India, Mexico, Mongolia, Nicaragua, Somalia, United States, and Vietnam. The awards program showcases projects that enhance social, economic, and environmental quality of life across the globe. FIDIC uses the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to promote their values of quality, integrity, and sustainability. The Lick Run Valley Conveyance System and Greenway project successfully addressed all the SDGs, with a focus on the following:

• Clean Water and Sanitation
• Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure
• Sustainable Cities and Communities
• Climate Action
• Life on Land

The Lick Run Valley Conveyance System and Greenway project is in the running for the prestigious Award of Excellence, which will be announced September 12, 2022, in Geneva, Switzerland.
