Future recreational, commercial, and residential developments on US 290 required sanitary sewer improvements. As part of our design services, we prepared a preliminary sanitary sewer study to analyze and identify alternative alignments that would minimize cost while providing adequate capacity for future developments. The project included approximately 6,900 linear feet (LF) of gravity sewer ranging from 8- to 12-inches, 2,735 LF of 6-inch force main, and four aerial crossings; a 380 gallon-per-minute (gpm) lift station with a precast concrete wet well sized for a ultimate 900 gpm pumping capacity, an emergency generator, and bypass pumping; and the decommissioning of an aging lift station at the Brenham State Supported Living Center.
