Entry to Municipal BuildingDarlington Municipal Building
Darlington, WI
We assisted the City of
Darlington in obtaining a $500,000 Community Development
Block Grant (CDBG) to convert the former Middle School
into a multifunctional community building. The
51,000-square-foot, two‑story facility, which includes
classrooms, a gym, and locker facility, was built in the
1930s. We developed plans to completely remodel the
building into a multifunctional facility consisting of a
city hall, police department office, county offices,
senior center, fitness center, and daycare center. The
$2 million renovation project was completed in 1998 and
won the Wisconsin Association of Consulting Engineers
Achievement Award for Engineering Excellence.
