Fox River Water
pollution control center (FRWPCC) – Brookfield, WI
We completed all planning, design, and
construction-related engineering services for a $40 million upgrade to these
facilities, which serve seven municipalities in the
Milwaukee Metropolitan Area. We provided complete
construction management services for this project.
These services included general observation, resident
project representation, preparation of the operation and
maintenance (O&M) manual, start-up assistance and
operator training, user charge system development, and
loan assistance.
Since the plant is located near existing
residential areas particular attention was given to
addressing odors and plant aesthetics. Aesthetic
improvements included construction of berms and
plantings to act as visual screens and special
treatments were provided to enhance the appearance of
exposed tank walls and aluminum covers.
This project received the Wisconsin
Association of Consulting Engineers 2001 Engineering
Excellence Achievement Award.
