Network Design and Administration
Our staff has extensive experience designing and installing Microsoft Windows servers and Novell NetWare servers in PC-based network environments. We design protocols to share files, define access to files, share printers, and run network applications. We are also experienced in the administration of networks including the setup of virus protection, security, and the definition of appropriate file backup procedures for disaster recovery. Some of the services we provide include:

• Installation and support of common business applications

• Design, installation, and support of engineering software

• Specification and configuration of PCs to access network resources

• Design and setup of virtual private networks (VPN) to connect distant SCADA sites to allow remote management by vendors, administrators, and operators

• Design and implementation of shared Internet connections

• Assistance with provisioning of telecommunication services

Communications and Structured Cabling
We provide a broad range of services for communication and structured cabling systems. Our staff has become well-trained in the specifications of EIA/TIA building wiring standards and has experience with a wide variety of projects. Our design experience includes structured cabling systems for office buildings, municipal buildings, institutions, and schools. These projects have included coaxial cable, copper and fiber-optic backbone cable, and unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cable.

Database Design
Data collection is the responsibility of almost every business and municipality. In many cases, data is still collected manually on paper forms or lists, or it is collected inefficiently with automated systems. Our IT professionals are skilled at using Microsoft Access and Standard Query Language (SQL) server to automate paper-based data collection and improve automated data collection systems. However, collected data is worthless if it cannot be accessed and viewed in a readable and understandable format. Our database designers create applications that simplify data retrieval. These applications include printable reports that can be used to meet local, state, and federal agency reporting requirements, generate mailing lists, monitor critical systems, or for internal review of data.
